Northumberland & the North Pennines Road Routes

England's last great wilderness

Whether you're riding the winding roads that cross the border ridge between England and Scotland, or dashing along coastal roads in Northumberland, there's a variety of places to explore. It really is the last wilderness in England, and as such has great road cycling venues in sublime countryside.

Road routes around Middleton in Teesdale and the North Pennines need legs of steel. The tight twisting lanes and endless climbs are fantastic. Those of you who have done the Coast and Castles route will know the nature of the riding and the views, which cannot be beaten. There are some great pubs too!

We'll be developing this section over the next few months. Join us as we do so, and ride off into the wilderness  along some of England's finest cycling routes.
