Biehler Linear Short Sleeve Jersey

At first sight, the Biehler Linear Jersey looks like a race ready garment, and you’d be quite right. This is a high end technical jersey that will definitely benefit those who like to get the most out of their cycling performance. It’s made from super lightweight technical materials, and will fit you like a pro.

The overall quality is typical of Biehler, with superb stitching throughout, a tough zipper and the finest technical materials. It’s a race fit design, with a low cut collar to the font too, making sure that you’re ready for the ride or the race.

The back panel uses a honeycombed mesh Lycra, super strong and stretchy, which is also utilised on the sleeves and side panels, maximising air circulation and wicking. The front panels and shoulders use a more regular weave of Lycra, albeit still very lightweight and technical, feeling extremely soft due to the tightness of the weave and the quality. Both materials have four way stretch and are super strong, with the panels being shaped and cut to fit closely and maximise aerodynamic properties.

The sleeves are finished off with wide terraband to the upper 3/4 of the sleeve, using the honeycomb mesh from the sleeve for the remainder. The hem of the jersey has an elasticated gel band trim to hold it all in place, and the three rear pockets are suitably strong and stretchy, with lots of room for carrying all you need. Interestingly, Biehler have used a new sloped pocket design on the two outer pockets, making it easier to get at items when you’re racing along.

The colour scheme of the jersey is a soft and pastel blue, with stripes of navy blue to the pockets and along a band across the front. There’s a neat touch of colours added to the terraband sleeves, giving a stylish finish to the jersey. There’s no rear zipped pocket, but this is a race ready jersey I guess. However, I do think the addition of a zipped pocket is useful at this level of jersey.

Using this on hard climbing routes in the Dales, and on some fast flat routes too, the jersey performs supremely well, wicking away moisture and keeping me fresh and comfortable. It looks and feels spot on, and is a great option for any serious cyclist.
