Wrap up warm people, because it’s going to get colder!
There are thankfully a few reasonably priced ways to keep yourself warm, especially if you won’t be riding all through autumn and winter and don’t want to spend money on full winter jerseys. To start with then, a good set of arm warmers are ideal, but which ones and will they match your jerseys and gilet? Cycology produce a great selection of arm warmers that match their jerseys and are a well cut and quality garments that fits closely without restricting movement.
Arm Warmers
In terms of fabric technology, their logo warmers are made from an Italian thermal fabric ‘Super Roubaix’ which is fleece lined, lightweight, warm, soft and very comfortable. In terms of how they fit and feel, they are soft and comfortable, and they cling well to my arms without being restrictive. Best of all, they don’t sag and they stay in place.
This thermal fabric stays comfortable even when wet and is quick drying and also has a reflective CYCOLOGY print for added safety in the dark. It’s stretchy and strong and has a silicone gripper elastic at arm and wrist. If you’re after designs to fit your style, my personal favourites from Cycology are the Day of the Living, with their bike tattoo style. Best of all, in early autumn, the Cycology lightweight and super stretchy sun sleeves also make awesome warmers, allowing you to not overheat, whilst providing that necessary fabric warmth barrier.

Neck warmers
Neck warmers are super useful for… well, keeping the cold wind and air away from your neck of course, but they’re also great for covering the head once you’ve got the skills for twisting and shaping. I like to use a neck warmer for rides where there’s a cool breeze and off the bike when chilling too, in the mountains and when skiing 🙂
The Cycology neck warmers are made from a tubular one seam construction for a soft, stretchy, comfortable feel, on rides and in general wear I found it to be super comfortable and stylish. There’s a great selection of designs available, and there’s a thermal product available too, for when the cold weather really arrives.
Base Layers
Riding in the cold weather and in autumn, the Cycology base layers are superb. They’re light, breathable and stretchy, in a mesh style, meaning that they retain their shape well and are comfortable beneath my jersey. They come in cool designs too, matching the wider range of jerseys from Cycology, and can be a great indoor cycling top on their own. For the colder months, there’s the thicker thermal fabric in long sleeves, but with the same strong and stretchy properties, and the usual cool designs.
Riding in autumn requires a change to our cycling clothing, and we want to remain stylish but warm. Cycology understand this and have a super range of accessories to match your Cyclology jerseys and bibs, meaning that you can still look great and feel awesome 🙂
