2020 was very different for all of us. However, we were finalists in the U.K. Online Influence Awards for Health & Fitness, thanks primarily to Nadezhda and Larisa and their lifestyle blogs. We want to give you more lifestyle information, and so we’re joined for 2021 by Diane Vilarem from France – a cyclist, yoga instructor and lifestyle specialist. We’re really excited to welcome this dynamic athlete and inspirational woman to the Pedalnorth team, and we’re looking forward to learning from Diane as she inspires cyclists in their fitness lifestyle, taking on the role of Yoga & Lifestyle editor.
We’re also really pleased to be supporting the fantastic TRANSFĂGĂRĂȘAN CHALLENGE cycling event in Romania this summer. You can enter and ride the worlds best road, as it winds its way up the Fargaras Mountains, taking the route of the UCI Tour of Sibiu.

There’s lots more technical stuff on our website too, as we work with brands like Fenwick’s to bring you the very best advice on bike maintenance and upgrades; and we’re going to be working closely with Elite from Italy, to bring you lots of advice and information about indoor cycle training and how it can help you to reach those far off and beautiful places.
Elite make the very best indoor trainers, and Larisa and Robert will be testing them out and writing about how cyclists of all ages and abilities can benefit from indoor training. Along with advice on nutrition and performance from our friends at VOOM Nutrition, we’ve got lots planned for the future. Indoor cycling shouldn’t simply be about racing others on a screen in a warm and cosy environment. It should aim to make your outdoor adventures even more spectacular, finally achieving that ride on the Stelvio or Park Rash. Nutrition is also a key area and one that not all cyclists fully understand, and so we want to improve your overall awareness, making sure that we include nutritional information where we can in our training blogs.
We’re delighted to announce our new kit partnership with eco-friendly U.K. sportswear brand PRESCA. This dynamic and growing brand will be providing our editorial and team kit, allowing us more freedom to bring you truly independent cycling information, that identifies with our own ethical approach. Meeting with Presca co-founder, Peter Lillie, meant meetings on bikes, with coffee and cake – always a great start to a partnership 😉
Having sponsored leading men’s and women’s teams, both in the U.K. and Europe, PRESCA work tirelessly to show that stylish performance clothing can also protect the planet. Take a look at the PRESCA website and choose your own eco-friendly kit from their modern performance clothing.

Steve Smales will be taking a lead, joined by Larisa Chinces, who regularly races MTB XC at home in Transylvania, and also Rich Duckworth, who has joined us from the U.K. Enduro race scene.
