The south of Germany, close to the Alps, and adjacent to the border with France, Switzerland and Austria, is a magical place for cycling. The area is filled with forested mountains and has some of the best road cycling routes in Germany, along with adventurous off-road riding, giving you some of the best gravel bike routes in Germany. The Danube flows through Bavaria, with the Euro Velo route following its course through Europe, and the mountains of Bavaria give you a choice of the best gravel biking in southern Germany to choose from.
Alongside our friends at SQLab in Munich, and Kolja at Ka-Risma, we plan on discovering more about the best cycling routes in Bavaria, mapping them out for you, alongside a choice of the best gravel bike routes too.
