Route

Starting in Barcelona, the first section of the ride is relatively flat and provides a good warm-up for the climb ahead. As you make your way towards the foothills of Montserrat, you’ll see the iconic mountain looming in the distance, ready to challenge you.

Once you reach the town of Monistrol de Montserrat, the real climb begins. The climb is challenging, but the stunning views of the surrounding countryside make it well worth the effort. Admire the scenery!

At the top of the climb, you’ll reach the Monastery of Montserrat. This stunning complex of buildings and churches has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries, attracting visitors from all over the world. After taking a well-deserved break to explore the monastery and its surroundings, it’s time to descend back down to Barcelona.

The descent is fast and exhilarating, taking you back down the winding road towards Monistrol de Montserrat. Be sure to take care on the way down, as the road can be steep and winding in places. Once you reach the bottom, it’s a relatively flat ride back to Barcelona, giving you a chance to recover from the climb and take in the sights.
