Living in the mountains of Europe’s last great wilderness, the Carpathian Mountains, Alex is ideally placed to ride bikes – and he does it better than most. A qualified mountain bike guide, ski and outdoor adventure instructor, this engineer by education has chosen instead to immerse himself in the mountains, dedicating his life to helping others to find their own outdoor lifestyle.
As a professional mountain bike rider and guide, Alex knows how kit should perform and what a great trail should ride like, He’ll be bringing this vast experience to our website from 2025 onwards, having been one of our MTB Guide partners and advisors previously. Along with his partner, Teo, a fellow outdoor instructor and cyclist, these inspirational athletes and writers from the mountains of Romania will be showing you the unparalleled trails in this magical place, along with where to stay, what kit to wear along the way – including the apre-ride and cultural spots.
