Up up up – A Jersey for high demands
by Diane Vilarem
That is the description of the Supreme Jersey. It was created with focus on lightness, style and with the use of latest generation fabrics. Isn’t that what they all say, right? Good thing I had the opportunity to try out this flashy looking jersey on the sunny French Riviera and to see if it lived up to its promise!
The ‘Supreme’ jersey was designed with hot sunny days in mind, and the very light material includes a UV protection of 50+. In other words, you can expect some serious biking tan using this product 😉
The jersey is beautifully designed, with wavy stripes crossing over the front and back, representing high mountain passes and steep grades – very original! This is a jersey for both men and women, and it comes off as quite neutral. I like it – it has a strong and powerful vibe. The backside of the jersey has two large pockets with enough space for a large phone, a spare tube, and some coffee money. And the breathability, you ask? No, I didn’t sweat whilst wearing this technical jersey from Biehler, so guess it worked 😉
The fabrics used are designed to be light and to maximize air flow and performance. The sleeves are made of a light aero weave mesh type material on the inner of the sleeve, again dealing with high moisture areas inside the arms. The overall materials incorporate recycled products, making the green credentials high too – always a good point. It’s also a highly stretchable 4-way lycra, meaning that the form fitting panel design fits perfectly – and looks great.
The waist is held in place with a wide and strong elasticated band, which also helps to finish off the chic design. It’s a jersey that allows free movement and feels great on and during rides. Finishing quality is superb and matches the name of this jersey from Biehler –it’s ‘Supreme.’
Biehler make really great cycling clothing, that performs at the highest level. This modern looking jersey is also super stylish and fits wonderfully, accentuating the female form – and ultimately, as women cyclists we want to feel good and to look great 😉
