AROUND THE HOWGILLS – MEDIUM 49 MILES
A tough but rewarding ride into the Howgills, those epic hills that lie between the Dales and the Lakes.
BOWLAND BADASS – UBER HARD 167 MILES
A totally epic and awe inspiring road cycling route around this beautiful corner of the historic county of Lancashire
WADDINGTON FELL – MEDIUM 10.5 MILES
A pleasant double loop on the south facing flank of Waddington Fell.
KENDAL EIGHT – MEDIUM 21 MILES
A short but testing route in the wedge of land between the Lakes and Dales, exploring rural Lancashire
LUNE ESTUARY – EASY 9 MILES
Family ride using the old railway track along the Lancashire coast
TROUGH OF BOWLAND – HARD 35 MILES
A tough but rewarding loop of this beautiful area of Lancashire, with a testing climb thrown in. Great evening or weekend ride for spring and summer.
ROSES LOOP – HARD 72 MILES
A testing ride that skirts the Forest of Bowland,the Yorkshire Dales and takes in both Roses counties.
FYLDE COAST – MEDIUM 49 MILES
A easy ramble through Lancashire and onto the coast, passing Blackpool before returning inland.
JUBILEE TOWER – MEDIUM 23.5 MILES
A great Lancashire road cycling route into the countryside, climbing the roads around Abbeystead and Jubilee Tower in the Lancashire hills.
CHAPEL CHALLENGE – HARD 51 MILES
The most intense and brutal 50 mile route in the North Pennines. A double figure 8 using the steepest hills of the Weardale valley, taking in each hill as both up and down.
BORDERS LOOP – HARD 75 MILES
A loop across the western part of England’s border with Scotland. Exceptional single track roads that gently undulate (with one or two medium difficulty climbs) through forests, moorland, river valleys and Hadrian’s Wall.
DERWENT RESERVOIR – EASY 18 MILES
A loop of Derwent Reservoir, based on the pro series event ‘Tour of the Reservoir’
Start Point: The historic and scenic village of Blanchland (free car park located behind the White Monk tearoom)
EDGE OF KIELDER – MEDIUM 59 MILES
Loop based in Rothbury, taking in the Alwinton valley, skirting the eastern fringe of the Kielder National Park and the plateau of Sweethope Loughs, on quiet roads and single track lanes.
GREAT DUN FELL – HARD 46 MILES

MORPETH DEANERY – HARD 76 MILES
A route based in Morpeth visiting the coast, the region’s former mining heritage, and some of the smaller less travelled areas of central Northumberland. The route is based on a longer charity ride taking in all 27 churches in the deanery of Morpeth.
MUGGLESWICK & DELVES – MEDIUM 29 MILES
Quiet and isolated roads and the road around Smidy Shaw Reservoir make this a touring cyclists route. It really is a gem of a ride, with a great Pennine hill climb thrown into the mix.
NORTH PENNINE LOOP – HARD 76 MILES
A loop of the south western portion of the North Pennine AONB, taking in the highest passes and the flats of the Eden Valley.
THREE COUNTIES CLASSIC – HARD 75 MILES
This is a long route, but is a good day out, or could even be broken in two; and is an exceptional way of seeing all of the best of the North Pennines but without any of the savage gradients the area is known for.
REIVERS LOOP – HARD 90 MILES
Quiet country roads around the heart of Northumberland. The Reivers were the border raiders of history, and now it’s your turn.
ROMAN WAY – MEDIUM 38 MILES
A ride through the countryside and through time! A glimpse into the occupation of Britain by the Roman Empire along the northern frontier of Hadrian’s Wall from the Roman fort town of Corbridge to Brampton.
SIMONSIDE – MEDIUM 55 MILES
A loop of the Simonside hills overlooking Rothbury and the Coquet valley, returning via Harwood Forest.
THREE RIVERS – HARD 61 MILES
SUsing National Cycle Network routes 1, 7 and 14 along the Rivers Wear, Derwent and Tyne on a mix of road, tarmac path and solid track.
TYNE RIVER LOOP – MEDIUM 44 MILES
A quiet, mostly off-road loop along both banks of the river Tyne, using a mixture of some road, cycle paths and cinder track, along former railway routes and maritime industrial areas which have been converted to inner city parkland.
WASKERLEY WAY – MEDIUM 55 MILES
An entirely off road route using the National Cycle Network, suitable for mountain, hybrid or cross bikes from the heart of Newcastle along the Tyne and Derwent valleys and then the Waskerley Way right on the cusp of the Pennines.
