Getting bib shorts right is always tricky. It’s not just the design and the fit, but it’s also the pad – we need to feel comfortable. Looking at the Biehler women’s Signature bib shorts, they’re a high quality performance short from this German brand. The fit is tight and comfortable all day long, with great compression to aid the muscles and show off your hard earned fitness form, and they have the same UV 50+ protection as promised for the new Supreme jersey in this range from Biehler.
I must say, the fit really lives up to the promise! It’s great, and easy to put on, remaining flexible and tight at the same time. I love how it looks and protects my performance in equal measure. 🙂
Panel cut and design is good and the quality of the revolutionary woven materials is high, with strong elasticated edging on the legs, adding subtle branding too. The material is well thought out and tough where needed and yet light in areas where you need it to be. For instance, the wide bib straps lead to a lightweight mesh upper that’s also antibacterial. The pad is high quality, slim and designed for long rides, without being too bulky.
The shorts also come in many color options, but I prefer the black one, as it will go with many of my jerseys. They’re marketed as a light weight performance short by Biehler, and so, is it worth the relatively high price of 220 EUR? Yes! At least if you ride 2-3 times a week, you’ll benefit from the technicity.
