Magura town is close to historic Bran and the castle of international fame. The mountains nearby are forested and filled with amazing trails. This route takes you on a great introduction ride to the mountains of Transylvania. It takes you through magical forests and high into the mountains, with the wild and beautiful Romanian countryside surrounding you. I love exploring and riding in the hills here, and this route is a special one to share with you 🙂

Refreshments & Where to Stay
Nearby historic Sibiu should always be the first choice for your base when riding here, as it has everything that you will need, including lots of accommodation options in this medieval city. Refreshments on the ride are obviously limited, so take plenty with you. You could also try nearby historic Bran, but don’t stay in the famous castle… 😉

Another great mtb route into the forested mountains of Transylvania, leading to epic views from the meadows and summits, as you explore the countryside and mountain meadows of Transylvania. The second half of the ride is all about riding downhill and having lots of exciting fun.
