Quite simply, the latest Schwalbe Pro One 25mm tyre is without doubt strong, light and agile. I have to say right off the bat that I’ve suffered not a single puncture and these tyres appear as good in autumn as they did back in June.
Finding the right wet weather jacket is tricky. You want it to perform, be light, easy to stow away and strong without being restrictive. Chris has been testing the Shark jacket from Italian brand Rh+, and it seems to fit the bill.
Yorkshire in the summer is pretty similar to Sweden so when Sigr sent us their summer offerings we were only too pleased to get out there and test out the red and black ‘Sverigeloppet’ cycle jersey. Thankfully, it’s also superb right through to autumn, which makes it a really good wardrobe addition.
In Camelbak’s marketing material, they say that the Rogue lightweight pack is everything that you crave for on the everyday trail, by being: minimal, durable, cool and comfortable. They sent one to us here at Pedalnorth.com, in a lovely teal colour for us to try out and see if their marketing spin is true. It certainly looked the part on first impressions.
Have you ever thought about the connection to your bike and ultimately the road? You might say it’s’ your cleats, it might be your gloves or it could be your shoes. How many times do you consider what’s going on in the bum department? How many times do you feel that tell-tale ache coming on and as a man that dull numbness starting which forces you up and out of the saddle to bring some life back to that area of darkness.
Sigr has been a favourite of Pedalnorth for some time. They consistently design and deliver cycling apparel gold with that touch of Swedish class. You just know if you buy one of their products that it will be just right for the job, well thought through and provides that level of class that other roadies will nod their heads in appreciation when they pass.
Starting the TRR product review, it comes in a snazzy 50ml snap cap bottle, housed inside a box of ten bottles – 3 boxes in total. Mine was cherry flavoured, and once opened it revealed a thick, light brown liquid. Down the hatch and I was instantly smacked by the sharp and sour taste, which actually I came to enjoy, if not crave every day!
Mountain bike shorts are not something I’ve spent much time thinking about recently. In fact, I’ve ridden in the same pair of shorts for years. However when Italian cycling brand RH+ Cycling asked us to try out their range of Trail and Mountain biking apparel, I thought it was time to get back on the trails.
In a cycling world bloated with cycling apparel manufacturers, it’s incredibly difficult to pick out what will work for you, select the kind of kit that you need for your locality, your type of riding and more importantly, how to look cool or be that bag of spanners. There’s a cost to consider too; so when I tell you Armani designed and styled the Italian Police Service, you’re probably going to look away from Italy, as that statement conjures up huge costs. Hang on a minute and stick with me…
Summer cycling can hit and miss due to the unexpected weather. Thankfully Elite have developed interactive trainers like the TUO that aren’t too concerned about the rain. Using the Elite ‘My E-Training’ app with the TUO, you can cycle around the world when heavy sorms and showers stop your outside fun.
