This is an epic ride into the hills, with a long and steep start. However, you’re more than rewarded, with an epic and extremely long descent through the hills and forests. The views over the mountains are spectacular, and you’re also close enough to historic Sibiu, a World Heritage Site city, to make it your base for a great cycling vacation.
The mountains around the Paltinis resort are covered in magnificent forests, with isolated meadows and mountain tops. There’s a wealth of trails to explore, and this one is just a short distance from historic Sibiu, a World Heritage Site, and its endless accommodation options
This is an epic route, in the mountains near to historic Sibiu. Paltinis is a superb year-round resort, being a ski centre in the winter, and an awesome mountain bike centre in spring, summer and autumn. The climbing here is tough, but the views and the descents are spectacular.
