Having been involved within cycle sport for over 5 years now, and there’s one discipline that stands out for me and which appeals to be in so many ways. Yes, cyclocross is something that draws me in and which appeals to my personality – constantly challenging, and driving me forward on an amazing journey of self-discovery.

Finding inspiration within cycling

The cycling industry is always talking about inspiration, yet in so many different ways. WE here about great wattage power and great bikes and how people look. However, it’s all just bullshit really. When we press pause and think about it, inspiration comes in so many seemingly ordinary ways; alongside of course, some truly inspiring indivuals who ride their bikes quietly challenging themselves.

I haven’t always been a cyclist—no, not before the age of 31. Yes, I’ve spent most of my life in the saddle, but over the years, that saddle has simply become narrower!

Women’s cycling – levelling the road to success

It was only in recent years that the UCI took steps to develop women’s cycling progression, through a new tiered system: Continental, Pro and World Tour level team structure. The Belgium based Baloise Minimax WB Ladies team are just one example of how women’s cycling is finally adapting to the greater support, as they drive forward into the UCI Continental ranks, developing future members of the women’s pro peloton.

Mountain bike pro racer, Alex leads the athlete/ writer line up, and Kolja brings unparalleled industry knowledge and experience to our website. Fiona-May and Chloé will be helping us to increase our cycling lifestyle and women’s cycling content, as Fiona brings her racing experience and unequalled sense of fun to proceedings.
